Student Union Membership The Student Union of the University of Oulu - OYY Joining the student union is recommended for exchange students; with the student union fee you will get access to Student health services and - by activating or ordering a student card - to multiple student benefits around the City and all around Finland too.

The Student Union's main functions are to look after the interest of its members, to work as a link between its members and the university, to provide services and to organize social activities. You must have a continuous membership in Unionen from the term for which you a seeking study grant up until the date your application is received. Example: As a working member of Unionen for a minimum of 6 months, you can apply for study grant for course costs dated from your seventh month of membership onwards.
