Tadaaki Kuwayama b. 1932, Nagoya, Japan Born in 1932 in Nagoya, Japan, Tadaaki Kuwayama graduated from the Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music (1956), having studied nihonga, a traditional form of Japanese painting on paper or silk that uses naturally derived pigments and puts extreme emphasis on outlines and tonal modulation.
